Most other medications can be taken up until surgery, but we will ask that you hold them the morning of surgery before resuming them postoperatively. In some cases, you will need to use a bridging medication before resuming your regular anticoagulant. Anticoagulants such as Coumadin, Xarelto, or Plavix also need to be stopped prior to surgery, but you will need to check with your prescribing physician to determine how to do this safely. This includes medications like NSAIDS such as aspirin, Aleve or ibuprofen, but also supplements such as fish oil, garlic pills, coQ 10, and turmeric. ![]() In general, medications that thin your blood shouldn’t be taken for 5 days prior to your procedure. We do not extend credit, however, we have partnered with ePay Healthcare to provide patient financing. If you do not have health insurance, you will be responsible to pay for your care when it is rendered. If you are uncertain if we are participating in our network, please contact us directly or contact your health insurance carrier. We do participate in many insurance plans however, coverage changes occur frequently. If you would like a written statement of your scheduled procedure(s) before your visit, or your actual performed procedures after your visit, please contact the billing office at 23, Ext 105. We will make every attempt to determine your benefit status in advance in order to give you adequate information regarding your anticipated contribution. If you have insurance coverage and we are contracted with your payer, the amount you will be personally responsible for will be determined by your coverage limits, deductible status, etc. Patients and prospective patients should contact each health care practitioner who will provide services in Physicians Day Surgery Center to determine the health insurers and health maintenance organizations with which the health care practitioner participates as a network provider or preferred provider. Patients and prospective patients may request from this facility, and other health care providers, a more personalized estimate of charges and other information. Depending on the procedure you are having you may also receive additional charges from: Anesthesia Services You will receive additional charges from your physician. Services may be provided in this health care facility by providers who may separately bill the patient, and who may or may not participate with the same health insurers or health maintenance organizations as the facility. Unless otherwise noted, your estimate of charges will include only the fees that will be generated by Physicians Day Surgery Center. Your actual charges will only be generated after the procedure(s) is complete to ensure it is accurate to what was performed. Upon request, you will receive an estimate of charges based on the procedure(s) your physician has scheduled with us. Physicians Day Surgery Center strives to remain transparent in the charges you may incur while receiving your care. In addition, please make sure your authorization/pre-certification for surgery is on file prior to surgery. We now offer online bill payment with Patient Notebook.
